COVID-19 Update

Hi everyone,

We hope you are keeping safe and well, this is obviously a very difficult time for all of us and we have spent a little while discussing what the best thing to do for our business and for you, our customers would be in this situation.

We have decided to stay open and take the utmost precautions and safety measures in making, packaging and shipping any orders that you may decide to place during this uncertain period.

As you know, VelvetVolcano is a teeny, family run business with just myself (Tamsyn) and Mumma VV (Linda) at the helm, so we make and pack all of your orders from our home in Cornwall, where myself and my mother and father have been self isolating for about a month now - we have not had any COVID-19 symptoms and are not making contact with anyone else or visiting shops/supermarkets (because of my health conditions, my parents are ensuring I remain shielded and we have outside help as well as help from businesses/organisations to ensure our needs are being met without endangering us - for which we are hugely grateful!).

We will be shipping items once a week at the most and this will be done through a courier no-contact pick up service where possible or via a family member who will be taking special precautions when visiting the post office. As you know, due to the handmade nature of our items, many items take around 2 weeks to produce anyway, so please take note that this may be the more likely time scale for all orders at present. A few of you have already included notes with your orders stating not to rush and being very patient and understanding of the difficult circumstances, but wanting to help support a small business and that is very kind and hugely appreciated, thank you!
